GEOG393-593 GPS – GIS

 

GPS (Global Positioning Systems) and GIS (Geographic Information Systems) are two powerful tools. The goal of this course is for you to understand these two tools, their strengths and weaknesses, how they work together and how they work in conjunction with a variety of other spatial data, e.g. digitized-elevation maps, remotely-sensed images, air photos, field-collected data, hand-digitized information, and economic and earth-science databases.
