Welcome! I am a Professor of Geography at the University of Utah. My research and teaching interests include Geographic Information Systems (GIS), spatial analysis and geocomputational techniques applied to understanding how transportation and communication technologies shape individual lives and urban morphology.

I am specifically interested in time geography: this examines individuals’ allocations of time among activities in space and the implications for individual and collective spatial dynamics.

I am also an avid outdoor enthusiast and traveler. I am into backpacking, bicycling, climbing, hiking and skiing. I've also been to almost 30 countries in the world (the list keeps growing). In more relaxed moments, I also love books, films, quality television and sushi.
