  1. Geog 3040 (4) – Principles of Cartography*
  2. Geog 3140 (3) – Introduction to GIS (QI)* (prerequisite for GIS courses)
  3. CS 1021 (3) – Introduction to Programming in Java, or other Computer Science prerequisite or choice course

First Year – Spring Semester

  1. Geog 3020 (3) – Geographical Analysis (QI)**
  2. Geog 5/6140 (4) – Methods in Geographic Information Systems**
  3. Computer Science prerequisite or choice course (if needed)

Second Year – Fall Semester

  1. Geog 5/6150 (4) – Principles of Cartography*
  2. Computer Science prerequisite or choice course (if needed)

Second Year – Spring Semester

  1. Geog 5/6160 (3) – Spatial Modeling with GIS**
  2. Computer Science choice course (if needed)

NOTE:  If starting Spring semester, enroll in GEOG 3020 Geographical Analysis** and whatever Computer Science prerequisite or choice course is offered, then join the above program Fall semester.

  • CS 1000 Engineering Computing - CS 1010 Intro to UNIX and Math 1210 Calculus I
  • CS 1020 Introduction to Programming in C++ - (no prerequisite)
  • CS 1021 Introduction to Programming in Java - (no prerequisite)
  • CS 1410 Introduction to Computer Science I - CS 1010 Intro to UNIX and Math 1210 Calculus I
  • CS 2000 Introduction to Program Design in C - CS 1010 Intro to UNIX and Math 1210 Calculus I
Geography:
  • Geog 3020 - Math 1030 Intro to Quantitative Reasoning, 1050 College Algebra, or equivalent
  • Geog 3040 - Math 1030 Intro to Quantitative Reasoning, 1050 College Algebra, or equivalent
  • Geog 3140 - Math 1030 Intro to Quantitative Reasoning, 1050 College Algebra, or equivalent
