Geoantiquities & Lake Bonneville
Geoantiquities are natural archives of Earth system history. We are using geographic information systems (GIS) to integrate inventories of geoantiquties and models of Wasatch Front urban growth in order to plan mitigation, scientific investigation, education, information transfer, and conservation.
University Consortium for Geographic Information Science (UCGIS)
The University Consortium for Geographic Information Science (UCGIS) is a non-profit organization of universities and other research institutions dedicated to advancing our understanding of geographic processes and spatial relationships through improved theory, methods, technology, and data. UCGIS membership is open to all U.S. academic and research organizations that meet certain membership criteria. Member institutions will have the opportunity to participate in reviewing and setting national research priorities in GIS and related specialties.
